상대방의 제안을 조심스럽게 거절할 때 사용합니다.

rain check은 우천으로 경기가 취소됐을 때 관람객에게 주는 다음 경기 티켓을 뜻하는데요. 

이런식으로 일반 회화에서도 많이 쓰입니다. 

알아두시면 요긴하게 쓸 수 있는 표현입니다 ^^
